Wow HxH, WOW

HxH began its weekly release last Oct 4, and will continue for about 10 weeks until Togashi takes a break again. I have just read chapter 262 and I am all but amazed. I don’t like the arc, nor are my favorite characters around, but the complexity, unpredictability and realism blows me away. Togashi, you are now an even greater genius. I swear that someday, I’ll pay my homage to you.

HxH is baaaaack

What an amazing week for news (Or maybe it’s only because I only check now). According to Heiji-san (whoever he is), HxH will FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY be back on October. I am not keeping my fingers crossed for that date; as long as it will be back in the near future, I am happy.

Still another tennis (real or otherwise) update

I’m on my road to partial recovery over the horror that is Echizen vs Yukimura. It has not happened yet, but we all know it is as inevitable as an electron’s position, which is actually not inevitable at all. Nevertheless, the consequence of such evitable inevitability, Tezuka vs Sanada, is not bad at all. Sure it is light years ahead my dream match, but it is still comes out as acceptable. And is good for my eternally fangirling heart.

Possible chapter 346

I’m not sure yet but if the rumors are true, then this has to be the worst Prince of Tennis chapter ever conceived. Nay, actually released.

I know I said (because that’s what I heard) there’ll be no chapter for two weeks, but it seems that there is. So the possibilities are: a. we all misunderstood the message at the end of 345 b. Konomi changed his mind c. neither, for there is really no chapter and the chinese guy (the news was taken from Chinese forums, but of course not necessarily the original source of it) who started it just want a collective heart attack.

After seeing the Chinese version, lq and hq Japanese versions, I finally got my hands on the English translation. I’m actually fine waiting this long for it to arrive, since there would not be any chapter this week.

No, I do not understand a single word above either (except Atobe in all-caps, but well…) and Babelfish, as usual, is not helping. But I am posting it anyway because according to a remark of a forum poster, it is already the finals. *gasp choke spasms* Yes, you read it right. The long-awaited and obsessed-over finals has finally arrived.

Tenimyu Survey

I was bored and so I did what has been hovering in my mind for the past month. It’s still incomplete and I may add something in the future, but for now it will be as it is. Just a note: I am, in no way, a Tenimyu genius. I have only watched completely three musicals and nearly completed two other until my attention span got the better of me. However, I believe I have watched what people would consider the best, so I feel my opinions are still to an acceptable extent valid.

My basis for “favorite” is a combination of my subjective likes and objective observation. The latter is more dominant but not considerably so, so the former still has an influence over my rankings. Here we go:

I am starting to think that it’s going to be Tezuka vs Sanada O__o All right, let me summarize.

It’s high time for the Finals!

The RAWs were released last Wednesday and the translation probably Friday, and it’s only on Saturday that I check Chapter 340 out. I have been obsessed since eternity, so you can only imagine how I was dying by the day, eagerly awaiting for the latest chapter.

One thing: this chapter was better than I anticipated. “Better” of course being a completely subjective term. The chapter covered entire events that I dismissed last week simply because they were too fantastic. But what else can I say? Konomi loves us! :3

PoT 339 and Finals prediction

Niou/Yanagi pair indeed won 6-1, and it’s Sanada on S1. I think Sanada playing shouldn’t have come as a surprise. During the beginning of their match, Yukimura was at the coach’s bench instead of meeting the Nagoya players at the center of the court. That should’ve been a sign, so I shouldn’t have obsessed and cursed over it. )
